St. Thomas's Hunting Club records, 1785-1801.

Three volumes (gatherings) containing the records of the St. Thomas's Hunting Club. Volume 1 containing minutes of meetings (1785 Sept. 17-1788 Aug. 16) of the club at Mr. [Andrew] Hasell's Plantation (1785 Sept. 17-1786 Aug. 17) and at the new club house near Quinby's Bridge (beginning 1786 Sept. 21) lists the names of members and visitors present at meetings, the number of deer and other animals killed, and activities of the club. Volume 2 contains a "rotation" of members (1792-1794) serving as president, and minutes of meetings (1792 Jan. 21-1796 Jan. 16) including the names of members and visitors, deer and other animals (fox and bear) killed, and activities. Volume 3 contains minutes of meetings (1796 Feb. 27-1798 May 19) and "Rules of St. Thomas's Hunting Club 1785-1801" which include resolutions. The volume also includes a loose sheet of paper containing initial rules for forming the club.

South Carolina parishes created by the Church Act of 1706 as separate parishes within the same area.
